Life’s moments pass so quickly, especially the really special sweet ones. It’s been my experience that the really good things in life may take years to process and integrate into our realities, as they are often far too overwhelming to take in while they are occurring. I think that’s why we try so hard to hold on to the good stuff and bring it up often, telling our stories like “Remember when…” Those shimmering moments are the ones we need to to hold close and visit often.

My intention was to create these special sewn treasures to honor the births of my daughters, but somehow living life delayed my productivity. However, as it always seems to be the case, the inspiration and will to create for others enabled me to create several of these lovely, vintage, magically whimsical frames to honor the births of their little ones. I love the way these frames can stand or hang and affirm the importance of their story. I love that they are handmade and can be gifted to any one for any reason at any time to remind of the everyday extraordinary moments of our life: Births, firsts, birthdays, and spiritual ceremonies just to name a few. I feel sufficiently re-motivated to sew sweet-ly create a tribute to my own special moments in time…knowing that one day I will gift the treasure to them.
