You know that guilt you feel when you haven’t called a friend back? And you know they’re not mad, they completely understand that time has just escaped you, but still, the longer you wait, the more awkward it feels until finally you just reach out. You realize that not that much has happened or changed during your time apart and end up saying let’s not wait so long next time. I feel this, about my blog.
When a labor of love just feels like labor it’s time to step back. Inspiration is all around but if it’s not engulfing and penetrating then a moment of reflection is necessary. I have been reflecting.

So, moms don’t really get hiatuses, but it seems that that the blogger persona of moms do! This notion has alleviated my impending guilt about my neglectful handling of my blog in past weeks. Also a consolation, knowing that in my absence of blogging I have embraced my life. Welcoming summer and laughing often with my darlings.
In related news, while my blog productivity has been low, my reproductivity has been booming! And by booming, I mean baby booming. Our third darling will arrive January 2012!
