I found you on Mamapedia. I worry about the human replacement aspect of this. Like when you call companies and only get machines! It's ridiculous that human connection is not considered valuable. But I have noticed a strong sense of communities building online and maybe there is hope in the long run. You are right, we need to be aware of consequences with this. Good call on that one! I am "that weirdo" that no one can call on a cell phone. I am pretty disconnected, once I leave my office where my computer is. I find it easier to live this way. I KNOW that I will get a fancier phone, someday. But I see it as a luxury and one must pick and choose one's luxuries. I choose to pick other things to spend my spare money on. It's going to be ok. I promise. Things are definitely faster and NewAllTheTime! but every generation since the dawn of man has bemoaned the speed at which the NEXT generation decides to live. Can you just imagine how the cavemen parents of the wheel inventor must have shaken their heads? "What's the rush?!? Where's he got to go that's so dang important? What?
